Biography
Dr Franja Prosenc currently works as a postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Ljubljana. Her research topics deal with environmental problematics, such as alternative technologies for the removal of contaminants of emerging concern from wastewater, resource reuse in the circular economy, and prevalence and impact of microplastics in agricultural fields. She gained her experience by working at various laboratories in Slovenia (University of Ljubljana, University of Nova Gorica) and abroad (University of Westminster – UK, Marquette University – USA) as well as mentoring numerous high school, undergraduate and postgraduate students.
