Biography
Aleš Črnič is Professor of Religious Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences (University of Ljubljana, Slovenia). He is president of Slovenian Study of Religions Association and coordinator of Regional Religious Studies Network. He served as secretary general and vice-president of the International Study of Religion in Central and Eastern Europe Association and for fifteen years as president of the section for Religious Studies of the Slovene Sociological Association. Since its foundation in 2005, he has been the editor-in-chief of the Kult Book Series. He was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of California – Berkeley (2012) and a visiting researcher at Oxford University (St. John’s College, 2001).
