Abstract
In the production of high efficiency electrical machines, high permeability, low core loss non-oriented electrical steel is used as a core material. Chemical composition, addition of alloying elements such as Si and Al, appropriate steelmaking technology, hot and cold processing and final heat treatment could affect the magnetic properties of non oriented electrical steels.
The main goal of the proposed project is the investigation of the effects of the alloying elements, impurity elements and non-metallic inclusions on magnetic properties of non-oriented electrical steel sheets. The results of this investigation will be used as the basis for the development of high premeability non-oriented electrical steels.
