Abstract
In the application of many statistical methods, classification, multidimensional prediction; it is necessary to choose in advance the measure of difference that is in accordance with the nature of the data. For example it is known that most of the usual measures of difference are not compatible with the compositional character of the data. Also transformations of dissimilarities that improve the dissimilarity properties are important.
