Abstract
Injuries of the knee ligaments are common. As a result of untreated or unsatisfactorily treated injuries, instable knee and overload of articular structures is common, because of changed biomechanics. Changed motion of the knee causes early lesions and additional injuries of articular structures and early invalidity. At present, there is no method, that would satisfactorily evaluate operative reconstruction of biomechanics of the injured knee.
In the project we will develope a exact method of evaluation of biomechanics of the knee, with the use of the robot technology and the use of force sensors. The geometrical data will be collected by the use of co-ordinate measuring machine. This will allow study of spatial biomechanics of certain structures of the knee, like cruciate ligaments in normal conditions and qafter injuries or reconstruction procedures..
