Infrared thermography based on artificial intelligence as a screening method for carpal tunnel syndrome diagnosis

Compared with the gold standard electromyographic diagnosis of CTS, IRT cannot be recommended as an adequate diagnostic tool when exact severity level diagnosis is required, however we conclude that IRT could be used as a screening tool for severe cases in populations with high ergonomic risk factors of CTS.

A novel approach to telemedicine video control technology.

Telemedicine especially teletrauma and telepresence rely on live video streams, for optimal patient diagnosis and management including assessment of diagnostic images such as plain X-ray, ultrasound or other modalities. We propose novel approach to remote camera control for use in telemedicine. Neural network for visual servo control is proposed. The system is based on 2 cameras, one for live visual feedback and the other for visual servoing robot arm to desired location. Operator selects the location he want so observe and the visual servo navigates live feedback camera accordingly.

Survival of stress exposed Campylobacter jejuni in the murine macrophage J774 cell line

Any prolongation of survival in macrophages may increase probability of transmission of bacteria in the host organism and have further implications in the pathogenesis of campylobacteriosis. With this it is indicated that environmental stress conditions may be involved.
