Final report

The most important benefit of our experimental work for the development of Slovenia remains the education of young researchers. The typical experimental problems we face are relatively clearly defined, while the theoretical interpretations of data are manageable even for graduate students. All experiments are performed at accelerators and measurement systems of the new generation at world-class facilities which implement the latest technologies. The graduate students and researchers are able to acquire a complete education which they gradually transfer to Slovenia. Back home, they become sought-after experts and, as a rule, occupy the leading positions in the industry or in research and educational institutions. The developed experimental methods also have a direct applied potential, and can be e.g. used in ensuring a satisfactory quality of measurements in radiological monitoring of the environment.
