Within the research programme we trained four young researchers, three of them successfully finished their studies, two with doctoral degree, one with master degree, one is still in progress. We disseminated our research results by the papers published in Slovene journals (EV and MIDEM) and in the proceedings of our conferences (VITEL, ERK). We worked closely with Slovene standardisation, regulation and governmental bodies (USM, ATRP, MID). In the cooperation with the Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia we worked on the introduction of Slovene smart card system and on the design of IP based health-care information system infrastructure. We designed the blue print of DARS communication system, providing services for Slovene highway system. Proposed telecommunication system will enable DARS to become a provider for telecommunication services and infrastructure. For Telekom Slovenije, and later on for the Governmental bodies of the Republic of Slovenia, we designed the strategy and blue print of the professional digital radio network, based on TETRA standard. The knowledge and experience, gained at the research work, we applied to the development of video module for Iskra Transmission, which brought this product to the market. The application includes detection of video signal, transformation of signals into digital form, transmission over communication channel, wavelet transform, etc. Our experience in testing of telecommunication systems was used by Iskratel in the project of automatic test generation for SI2000. We have developed and applied the support for the standardisation activities to the research and development sector of Iskratel based on the system engineering capability maturity model. The knowledge, new technologies and experiences gained at EU research projects, we tried to use and transfer to our companies through joint work and development of high-tech products.
