Satisfaction of hotel guests and its importance for the success of the business, case study of Slovenian and Croatian hotel

The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate the basic problem in measuring guest satisfaction, namely how to measure and what to measure satisfaction. We are summarizing the thoughts of different authors, indicating the methods for measuring guest satisfaction in order to determine optimal methods. We are comparing different cases of good practice of measuring satisfaction in theory and practice.

Analysis of the competitiveness of Slovenian sport tourism destination

This paper assesses the competitiveness of Slovenian sport tourism destinations and compares it with other domestic destinations and those abroad. The methodology is based on different destination competitiveness models. The research results confirm the main hypothesis − that Slovenian tourism managers believe Slovenian destinations are more competitive at home than abroad. The contribution of the research lies in the fact that it has applied the generic instrument for measuring destination competitiveness on sport tourism destinations and, for the first time, their competitiveness is measured in Slovenia.

Measurement of the national and regional innovation of Slovene tourism

Presentation of the results from a pilot study of tourism providers from Slovene regions, which includes development of a tool that enables: (1) relative evaluation of the innovation level for each tourism provider, (2) identification of the most innovative providers and (3) possibility to share strategically important data with the providers, which will give them new insights in how to better innovate in their particular case.
