Boris A. Novak has published The Maps of Nostalgy, the first book of the epos The Doors of No Return, in 2014, and the second book, The Time of Fathers, in 2015. In the series of well received interviews he has raised the awareness of the cultural audience about the possibility of the contemporary epos, a genre which was treated as dead by the literary theory. Novak's epos is accepted very well by the critics and by the reading public (reprint), and the poet has received a prestigious Župančič award of the city of Ljubljana.
