P2-0082 — Interim report
1.
Device for high-frequency gas plasma excitation

Methods for suppressing high voltages but keeping large powers have been studied both theoretically and experimentally in past few years and the corresponding patent was granted in 2016 by German Patent Office in Munich. We disclose methods for suppressing stray voltage across the plasma coil by appropriate coupling of several coils.Such a configuration allows for improved energy efficiency and is therefore particular suitable for industrial applications.

Proceedings of the 16th Joint Vacuum Conference (JVC-16) and the 14th European Vacuum Conference (EVC-14)

The members of the program group regularly organize international scientific meeting. In 2016 we organized 4 conferences or workshops. This meeting attracted 180 attendees from Europe, Asia and America.

Magnetron sputtering

Members of research group have around 20 invited, keynote or plenary talks annually at international scientific meetings. We selected this particular invited talk at the prominent conference in USA since it was presented by one of the youngest researchers of the group.

New atmospheric pressure plasma technology for advanced wound care products developed in "IP4Plasma" EU project

In the frame of a large EU project we have developed an innovative method for treatment of wound dressing produced by Slovenian company Tosama that enables good antimicrobial properties.

5.
Low-pressure plasma-assisted polymer surface modifications

Members of the research team regularly contribute chapters or prepare whole scientific monographs. For this report we selected extensive publication on modification of polymers by low-pressure plasma treatment. Recent development in this scientific niche is stressed.
