Organization of Lepton Photon 2015

The International Symposium on Lepton Photon Interactions at High Energies is a biennial conference series sponsored by the International Union on Pure and Applied Physics. The 27th edition of the series was hosted on August 17-22, 2015 by the University of Ljubljana and the Jožef Stefan Institute and took place at the Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre.

Spin-out company Particulars Ltd.

Particulars is a spin-out company of Jozef Stefan Institute the largest and most prominent Slovenian research institute. The company was founded by 6 senior researchers from Department of Experimental Particle Physics. The group has a long record of using the transient current technique for studies of semiconductor particle detectors and dosimeters and pioneered several analysis/application techniques for determination of various device/semiconductor parameters. The company is successfully in operation since 2013 with products sold in Europe, America and Asia.

The Order for Merits shall be conferred for merits accomplished for the Republic of Slovenia in other fields.

The Order for Merits was awarded on 31/3/2016 by the President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor to the group of scientists active in the ATLAS experiment in CERN. The group decorated is composed of: dr. Vladimir Cindro, dr. Andrej Filipčič, dr. Andrej Gorišek, dr. Borut Paul Kerševan, dr. Gregor Kramberger, dr. Igor Mandić, dr. Marko Zavrtanik and the leader dr. Marko Mikuž.
