AS - Archaeology for all

Institute for archaeology and heritage manages the archaeological park in Simonov zaliv where numerous educational and promotional programs presenting the archaeological heritage are conducted. Irena Lazar coordinated a large international project entitled AS – Archaeology for all in which the informational infrastructure in the park was constructed and educations focusing on the promotion of heritage were conducted. The present popular book, entitled AS – Archaeology for all was created as a manual for the presentation of archaeological parks in the framework of the project. Knowledge and experiences presented in the book derive mostly form research competences which were acquired by the authors and the project leader in the framework of basic research. The popular book, as well as the whole project, represents examples of good practices of transfer of research based knowledge in to the field of communication with the public. It demonstrates the need for the coordination of competences acquired with basic and commercial research as well as with international promotion projects.
