Photoplethysmograph device for monitoring the microcirculation of the optic nerve

The invention is surgical photoplethysmograph, intendent for intraoperative monitoring the microcirculation of the optic nerve. The device provides instant feedback about appropriateness of mechanical manipulation of optic nerve during surgery by monitoring the microcirculation of the optic nerve. This has a protective effect against possible loss of vision caused by surgical procedure.
