Recent approaches towards enhanced charge separation and visible light utilization in TiO2 photocatalysis

Dr. Albin Pintar, head of the Department for Environmental Sciences and Engineering at the NAtional Institute of Chemistry, delivered an invited plenary lecture entitled "Recent approaches to enhanced charge separation and visible light utilization in TiO2 photocatalysis" at the 12th International Symposium on Heterogeneous Catalysis, which was held from 26-29 August 2018 in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Award at the Finals of the European Competition Emerging Technologies Showcase 2015

The team from the Department for Environmental Sciences and Engineering of the National Institute of Chemistry (Dr. Ilja Gasan Osojnik Črnivec, Dr. Petar Djinović, Prof. Dr. Albin Pintar, Dr. Boštjan Erjavec) with their innovation - a catalyst that enables the conversion of biodegradable waste into biofuel and other chemicals with high added value has won third place at the finals of the European competition Emerging Technologies Showcase 2015, which is annually organized by the Royal Society of Chemistry.
