Report of Postojna Cave custodian (Karst Research Institute ZRC SAZU) on the implementation of concession in Postojna and Predjama Cave System - year 2014

Report of Postojna Cave custodian that is each year prepared by relevant researchers of Karst Research Institute ZRC SAZU regularly contained also our measurements related to measurements of anthropogenic impacts on sinter deposition due to visiting and cave air CO2 concentration. In Postojna Cave, we also tried to evaluate possibly anthropogenically induced rock fall from the ceiling of Concert Hall that represent a serious threat to the further tourist development of the Postojna Cave from the last year.

2.
Character, anthropogenic pressures, vulnerability and sustainable management of (show) caves

Invited lecture at Yunnan Univeristy fas focused on presentation of cave vulnerabiity that is the result of low-intensity processes. The majority of presented processes is part of carbon cycling on karst, namely dissolution (atmospheric carbon sequestration) and calcite precipitation (release of carbon into atmosphere).

High biodissolution rates in saturated karst freshwaters of northern Dinaric (classical) karst

Oral presentation on international scientific meeting focused on presentation of open issues, methodology-approach and results of biodissolution measurements.
