L4-5532 — Final report
1.
Characterization and application of bacteriophages as antimicrobials to prevent campylobacteriosis

We presented results of the study in which we isolated, characterized and use bacteriophages specific for bacteria from genus Campylobacter. Results indicates that bacteriophages could be efficiently used for prevention and treatment of campylobacteriosis.

3.
Bioreactor system for continous production of bacteriophages

We developed a bioreactor system for continuous production of bacteriophages. The system is assembled from connected mixing and tube reactor. In the mixing part we are growing bacteria which are infected with bacteriophages while being transferred to tube reactor. In the tube reactor bacteriophages multiply.

4.
Behavior of Campylobacter jejuni LBA65 and Campylobacter bacteriophage PC5 in mice model

We report stability of bacteriophage PC5 in in vivo model system. Additionally, we addressed behavior of strain C. jejuni LBA65 that is usually used as a production organism for bacteriophage PC5.
