Mathias forcing and combinatorial covering properties of filters

In our invited one-hour plenary talk at the international meeting Set Theory in Oberwolfach we presented some of our new results, which came as a big surprise to several specialists from around the world, taking part at the workshop, since they revealed the heretofore unknown topological nature of classical combinatorial properties of filters which have been intensively studied in recent decades.
