International research project is focused to study the level of quality of life of older persons with carefully examining their nutritional, physical and cognitive status and their living environment. The interventions and the provision of services has the objective to provide a quality leaving in the home environment in a late age.
D.01 Chairing over/coordinating (international and national) projects
In the plenary speech, we addressed issues connected to functional decline after prolonged bed rest. We presented our new findings, comparing elderly and young people, and our new application, which is oriented towards developing of new interventions for hospitals and other rehabilitation centers.

Rado Pišot was mentor of young researcher Uroš Marušič who successfully defended his PhD thesis in April 2015 with the title: Impact of spatial navigation training during 14-day bed rest on maintaining motor functions and on brain activity in older adults. Young researcher received many awards within the period of his PhD studies.
