Successful promotion of the cycling initiative in Slovenia: One World Connected

Within World suicide prevention day celebration, cycling with the aim of informing and rising public awareness about suicide was promoted in 2014 under the slogan One world connected. In Slovenia, we actively promoted the campaign and invited people to participate. Among others, we disseminated the invitation to participate through our web page and encouraged active participation through Facebook profile of the Andrej Marušič Institute. Supporters of the campaign posted photos from their cycling tours on the Facebook page. They reported their mileage through an online form. Up until 10th September 2014 we cycled 39.480,97 km in Slovenia altogether. The campaign was attended by more than 130 participants.
