Leading of the Center of Magnetic measurements (CMag)

Members of the program team successfully led the research work in the Centre for Magnetic measurements (CMag) on IMFM. We ensure that both experimental equipments (MPMS-XL-5 and PPMS) are running 24h/day all days in the year.

Magnetic memory effect

In a lecture given to postgraduate students at the Institute of Experimental Physics, Slovak Academy of Sciences, we described a magnetic memory effect, explained why it occurs, in which substances one can expect it and how it can be explore in order to store a digital information in a thermal memory cell.

Flat RF coil for 14 N NQR monitoring of packed tablets paracetamol example

Some versions of flat RF coil systems are compared for monitoring of multiple blisters of tablets in a parcel wrapping. The coil is inserted into a rift between the layers of tablet boxes. Multipulse NQR technique is applied to detect known characteristic 14N spectral lines in tablets. At least a modest RF shielding of the sample and the RF coil was necessary, like a "tunnel" made of phosphor-bronze wire mesh.
