At the conference in the organization of the Council for Environmental Protection Republic of Slovenia, we carried out a lecture which was intended to raise awareness of the professional public on the importance of agricultural land in terms of food production and preservation of cultural landscapes. Main factors of land degradation, with emphasis on the processes of urbanization and the problem of forestation of agricultural land were presented.
