Goal of the workshop was to present recent research results of spruce conversions and practical experiences of local foresters on these topic. Based on presented information, guidelines for future management of these forest were defined.

This is due to close to nature management, but also due to small owner interest and lower subvention fund in last years. COBISS.SI-ID: 3535782In the interview the dendroflora of the entire eastern Adriatic coast from Italy through Slovenia and Croatia to Montenegro is debated. Special emphasis is put upon the area of Slovenian coast and Kras. Present and past uses of different tree species are debated as well as ecological vulnerability of this area and possible future aproaches in their management. Current research activities connected to transformation of Kras black pine plantations into the vegetation of broadleaves is also presented.
