Sources of risk and the corresponding risk management systems in Slovene agriculture are described. Alternative risk management tools are outlined, accent being given to income and revenue insurances. Possibilities of public intervention in the risk management systems are presented. Farm level accounting data are indispensable for the establishment of efficient risk management systems in agriculture. Possible approaches towards obtaining these data are outlined.

COBISS.SI-ID: 3005832The lecture starts with the presentation of the results of already completed work packages of the project. This is followed by a presentation of alternatives that seem to be the most suitable for application for the conditions of the Slovenian agriculture. The second part of the lecture is devoted to the introduction of an in-depth discussion on the perceptions and strategies of risk management in Slovenian agriculture. Further work continues with the implementation of in-depth interviews with key stakeholders in the field of risk management in Slovenian agriculture and fisheries.
