On 19th November 2013, at the University of Graz, dr. Andreja Urbanek Krajnc presented the work associated with the oil pumpkins breeding of the Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences, in the framework of cooperation of the university teachers, students and leading Austrian oil pumpkins breeders from Tulln, Gleisdorf and Wiesel. The audience was most interested in the genetic breeding aimed at the increase of carotenoids in hull-less oil pumkins derived from interspecific crosses between C. moschata and C. argyrosperma, for the needs of the food and pharmaceutical industries.
