1.
Catalytic probes for measuring the density of neutral oxygen atoms in non-equilibrium gaseous plasma.

Stable fixation of coated TiO2 nanoparticles on advanced textiles requires development of suitable techniques for textile activation. A promising technique is based on functionalization with highly polar functional groups which are formed upon interaction of neutral O atoms with textiles. An adjustable source of atoms has been developed and characterized thoroughly. The results were reported at this specialized workshop.

Polysaccharid silane hybrid materials - from films to nanoparticles

The talk consisted of two major topics. On one hand, the latest results obtained in the preparation thin films composed of chitosan-silane nanocomposites have been presented, on the other hand the preparation and characterization of silver nanoparticles by a sulfated polysaccharide was shown. In particular, the immobilization on surfaces and fibers and the antimicrobial activity of these particles have been intensively discussed.
