prof. N. Gunde - Cimerman was the chair of the international organizing committee and programme committee of the 4th Polar and Alpine Microbiology Conference that was held from 4. - 8.th September 2011 in Ljubljana. The congress was attnded by more than 140 participants from all over the world.
