How to make sense of the singularity of the concepts

This conference paper presented the results of the research of the Slovene female imigrants in the USA. Based on testimonies and biographic narratives, the author shows the need to translate the concepts into plural and multisemic meanings. Belonging, loyalty and ethnic identities are heteregenous concepts of identity; it is especially important to understand this complexity in relation to historical contexts and memories. This results will be integrated into methodological framework of the future project work.
