Due to “objectivization,” in recent decades the aesthetic significance of natural values has been consciously, but probably unjustly, overlooked in defining the importance of these values. A survey on the valuation of landscape features in the protected area of Triglav National Park showed that landscape features with water elements are the most attractive to people and that one may speak of collective patterns of perceiving natural beauty.
