Authorship in an Era without Geniuses

The the notions of authorship is summed up in the explicit musical poetics of four Slovene composers. As the main common feature of all four composers is seen in individual solutions - allegedly all phenomena are incommensurate - the paper discusses them as four facets of a plethora of “individualisms” as dialogs of different languages in which where each claims monopoly over the truth: the author emerges not as a unique, incomparable creator, but as a fine researcher, a “finder” of certain generally acceptable auditory qualities.
