The use and protection of forests in the Slovene Alpine area up to the 16th century

The paper has shown that based on mediaeval sources merely a very general conclusion is possible, that negative effects of use of forests increase with the intensity of forest utilization, which depends on population density and development of relevant industries. The responses of individuals and village communities differ from the reaction of the state and seigneurial authorities that do not seek the opportunity of expansion to new areas, but limit, regulate and select the utilization of forest resources.

One hundred and twenty years of Slovene mountaineering

The documentary presents the history of mountaineering in Slovenia, first mountaineering associations, the setting up of the infrastructure (huts, paths) as well as the mode in which Slovene-German national conflicts were reflected in conquests of high mountains.
