The lecture was presented upon invitation of Italina physical society. The approach discussing the introduction of new scientific results into classroom was presented and illustrated with the case of liquid crystals.

The workshop presented a teaching unit where students learn about liquid crystals and on the basis of their properties explain how a liquid crystalline display operates.

Liquid crystals and other anisotropic materials - our every day friends

The project group performed five workshops and lectures on liquid crystals for various audiences: for public (Science Cafe), for younger gifted students, for university students, for high school teachers and for researchers at the Department for physics. The series of workshops was performed upon invitation of University of Pennsyilvania, US.
