A systematic analysis of the effect of slip between concrete and steel in a composite structure subject to high temperatures due to fire is presented on a conference which brought together specialists from industry and reseach in the field. This original analysis showed a substantial influence of slip on the behaviour of steel-concrete structures indicating that slip should not be neglected in practical analyses.
