Double-sided cooling of heated slab was analyzed with DNS method. Research was focused on thermal fluctuations that appear inside the heat source due to the cooling with turbulent flows.

Tracking of large-scale structures in turbulent channel with direct numerical simulation of low Prandtl number passive scalar

We have demonstrated the existence and have described the behviour of the large scale turbulent structures visible in the low Prandtl number temperature field near the heated wall.
