Simulation of natural convection in the rectangular cavity with Lattice-Boltzmann method.

Numerical method, that has not been used in our research group before, a student of physics prepared an interesting diploma thesis. Using the case of natural convection he analyzed advantages (efficient parallelization on massive parallel computers) and drawbacks (limitations due to the quasy-compressibility) of the Lattice Boltzmann Method.

European developments in single phase turbulence for innovative reactors

Project of 7th framework program of EU THINS (Thermal Hydraulics of Innovative Nuclear Systems) approached to the final stages in 2013. Most of the planned research has been done already. Conference paper prepared by the authors of various EU institutions summarizes the research performed within the work package "Single phase turbulence"

ENEN association (European Nuclear Education Network) connects all European universities and institutions involved in nuclear engineering education and awards "Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering" title to the students that obtained at least 20 ECTS at institutions other than their home university.
