A review of methods for severe accident management was performed for the potential reactors for the second nuclear power plant in Krško: Westinghouse AP1000, AREVA EPR, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) APER and AREVA-MHI ATMEA1. The members of the project group especially contributed to the review of hydrogen mitigation methods by intentional disposition of containment compartments and use of igniters and passive autocvatalytic recombiners.
