Replacement of the Political Elites in Slovenia After World War II

After World War II a replacement of the political elites was carried out in Slovenia. At the end of World War II a large part of the pre war political elite left the Slovenian territory. Of three traditional Slovenian ideological political camps only a part of the Marxist camp, that is, the Communist Party, which took over the power, remained politically organised in Slovenia. The new authorities may have been strengthened with a fewrepresentatives of the old elite, but only temporarily and in rare cases.
