1.
Molecular host-pathogen interactions as revealed by the in vitro goat mammary gland model after infection with M. agalactiae

The contribution describes the procedure how the primary cell culture was established from the goat mammary gland epithelial cells, its morphological properties and rough transcriptomic analysis, which is based on evaluation of mRNA sequences prior and after infection of cells with pathogenic bacteria Mycoplasma agalactiae. Cell culture conditions and the importance of selecton of growth media are described.

Expression and validation of cell markers for epithelial cells in juvenile murine and caprine mammary gland and their primary cell cultures

The survey of cell markers, suitable for epithelial cells from the juvenile murine and caprine mammary gland detected using different methods (RT-PCR, in situ hybridisation, western blot) is given for histological analysis as well as for primary cellcultures. Following markers are included in the survey: cytokeratin (CK) 14, p63, smooth muscle actin, CK18, CK19, ER, PR, CD24, CD29, CD49f and EpCAM.
