Novel EDTA and process water recycling method after soil washing of multi-metal contaminated soil

Novel washing method of metal contaminated soils was develped. Method is based on recycling chelant EDTA in a pH gradient and process waters using advanced oxidation methods in a closed process loop.

Pilot-scale washing of metal contaminated garden soil using EDTA

Novel remediation method for fines-rich garden soil as a non-renawable natural resource was tested in a pilot scale. Efficient treatment of multi-metal; Pb, Zn and Cd contaminated soil was achieved. Soil-liquid separation combined with soil rinsing in the same process step was introduced.

Electrochemical treatment of spent solution after EDTA-based soil washing

Different electrode materials: boron doped diamond anode, graphite anode, Fe sacrificial anode were examined in electrochemical and Fenton reaction like advanced oxidation processes for treatment of waste waters generated after soil washing.
