Analysis of the intergene region of ribosomal operons in Clostridium difficile

The intergene region (ISR) located between genes for 16S and 23 RNA in the C. difficile genome is present in several copies and is the target of typing methods of C. difficile, PCR ribotying. The presented work is the first description of a modified method that enables direct typization of C. difficile from medical samples shortening the time to typing for two days.
