Improving the environmental indicators using biotechnologies in textile processing

Development of cleaner pre-treatment, dyeing and finishing technologies by using enzymes as catalysts instead of harsh chemicals could effectively decrease the environmental pollution caused by textile industry. As a result of this co-operative research project, fundamental and technological knowledge of some biotechnology treatment for natural fibres was explained by laboratory simulated industrial processes. Bio-pretreatment, dyeing and finishing processes using chemically differ dyes was optimised from technological, quality and ecological point of view.

Re-use of differentially treated wastewaters in dyeing processes: report for project AquaFit4Use

With this research we want to determine the quality of dye-rich textile wastewaters after treatment and decoloration with advance oxidation processes and membrane technology for re-use in finishing processes as well as the influence of treated wastewaters on colour and colour strength after repeated dyeing.
