Lectures at foreign and national institutes on the subject of social diversity, coevolution, and the role of physics in understanding its origins

Methods of non-equilibrium statistical physics applied in evolutionary game theory indicate that both social diversity and coevolution are beneficial for the evolution of cooperation, and that highly heterogeneous social states may appear spontaneously via simple coevolutionary rules from an initially non-preferential setup. The findings convey the potentially disturbing message that large differences in status may arise spontaneously, and although they might evoke discomfort within the majority that is disprivileged, they are vital for keeping the population in a cooperative state.

Editorial board member of PLoS ONE and Chaos, Solitons & Fractals

In 2010 PLoS ONE has become the largest internationally recognized (IF: 4.35) journal for interdisciplinary research. Chaos, Solitons & Fractals is also an important journal (IF: 3.32) from Elsevier, focusing on complex systems and chaos. Editorial board membership in both journals is an important achievement for promotion of Slovenia in international research.
