1.
Modification of delicate organic materials by treatment with extremely non-equilibrium gas

The project leader has been invited to give a plenary lecture at the conference organized by prestigeous indian university Mahatma Ghandi. Surface functionalization of delicate organic materials including vascular grafts has been presented and mechanisms that lead to substantial improvement of treated materials biocompatibility have been explained to details.

2.
Application of non-equilibrium oxygen plasma for treatment of biomedical materials

The project leader was hosted by one of the biggest Japanese universities. In a series of lectures for postgraduate students of nanosciences he presented applications of oxygen plasma for modification of surface morphology as well as chemistry that leads to improved biocompatibility of polymers.

B.05 Guest lecturer at an institute/university

3.
Development of new anti-bioadhesive surfaces for specific neurodegenerative agents

The project leader was the supervisor of a PhD student who defended the thesis at Jozef Stefan International Postgraduate School in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and Universite du Maine, Le Mans, France. She ellaborated adhesion of blood proteins on plasma-modified polymer surfaces and explained crucial influence of surface functional groups on adsorption mechanisms.
