Measures for the realisation of the rights of the disabled to barrier-free access: Investigation of current built-environment barriers in public buildings in Slovenia.

The report presents the final research findings. The main contents of the report are: the findings of a comparative analysis of the policies and measures implemented in EU Member States and Slovenia concerning accessibility of the built environment, the results of an analysis of the most recent technical innovations in the field, the results of a survey conducted among the disabled and disability organisations, the findings of a detailed field analysis of the accessibility of key public facilities in the major regional centres in Slovenia and the establishment of an Internet guide for the disabled and an interactive tool for assessing accessibility and the prevention of the occurrence of new barriers.

(Non)Accessible Slovenia for people with functional disabilities?

Public lecture organised for the presentation, to the general public, of the results of the research project entitled ‘Measures for the realisation of the rights of the disabled to barrier-free access'. In addition to experts working in this area, the presentation was attended also by disabled persons, disabled people's organisations in operation in Slovenia, representatives of various ministries and other public organisations and the press.
