Treatment outcome in patients with border-line ovarian malignancy; laparoscopic versus open surgical treatment

Disease free interval and overall survival between laparoscopic versus open surgical treatment in patients with borderline ovarian malignancy were analized. In the laparoscopic subgroup, surgical treatment was completed laparoscopically in 66.0% of patients. During the follow-up period, recurrence was confirmed in three cases, two from laparoscopic subgroup. Laparoscopy represents adequate surgical approach for border line malignancy treatment.
