Consistency of MRSA screening

We presented the estimate of inconsistence in MRSA screening. We found out that less than one third of the patients with an increased risk of getting MRSA were screened for MRSA on admission according to our hospital guidelines. Taking surveillance swabs was more common on weekends and holidays than on working days and also depended on the type of ward to which the patient was admitted.
