Biaxial flexural strength of the LTCC material under various firing conditions

The influences of firing conditions on mechanical properties of LTCC material were studied. The biaxial flexural strength of LTCC material was measured for samples fired at different temperatures for various periods of time. At the low firing temperature the material was still porous and the biaxial flexural strength was low. A higher biaxial flexural strength was reached at firing at longer time or higher temperature due to low porosity. Mechanical and thermal properties were correlated with phase composition of fired sample.

An investigation of the conductive lines quality deposited by inkjet printing on different substrates

Thin and narrow conductive lines on LTCC ceramics was processed by ink-jet printing. Quality of printing lines was correlated with printing conditions. At optimal printing conditions narrow conductive lines between resistors and conductive pads were produced.

An investigation of lead-free thick-film resistors on LTCC substrates

For the fabrication of resistors in LTCC ceramics lead-free resistor paste have been tested. Based on preliminary experiments, we indicate to the potential problems of use of these pastes on LTCC ceramics.
