1.
Development of technology for purification of plasmids and bacteriophages for human treatment

Thesis describes preparation of plasmids and bacteriophages of the purity required for human treatment. Different down-stream unit operations were tested but the main focus was on chromatography, especially on monolithic supports. For both molecules an efficient protocol was developed.

Characterisation and optimsation ion-exchange chromatographic monoliths for plasmid isolation

Candidate Nika Lendero Krajnc was successfully defended her PhD where she used for pressure drop measurement for characterization of molecules bound on the surface. For her achievements she received L'Oreal stipendium for women achievements in science.
