Comparison of TALIF and catalytic probes for the determination of nitrogen atom density in a nitrogen plasma afterglow

This paper published in a leading journal covering the field of applied physics is a result of fruitful collaboration with University Paul Sabatier, Toulouse, France. Results of systematic research on characterization of nitrogen plasma suitable for modification of microcomposite materials to achieve optimal hydrophilicity are reported. It is the first report worldwide on comparison of two techniques that are optimized for different range of parameters. In the overlapping range we obtained almost excellent agreement. This is an important affirmation of our own tool – the catalytic probe.

The role of crystallinity on polymer interaction with oxygen plasma

In the scientific paper published in je top journal from the field of plasma and polymers we reported the influence of polymer crystallinity to interaction with reactive oxygen plasma. We determinated etching rates and removal of polymer strongly depends on polymer crystallinity degree. The results of oxygen plasma species included also other observations and phenomena on surface like change in surface morphology, wetttability, functionalization, etc.

Rheology and pressure-volume-temperature behavior of the thermoplastic poly(acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene)-modified epoxy-DDS system during reaction induced phase separation

The properties and behaviour of thermoplastic polymer system on the surface during the formation is presented in respect to different pressure, volume or temperature. These properties are very important during injection of thermoplastic mould into copper lamels during the production of commutators.

Influence of oxygen and nitrogen plasma treatment on polyethylene terephthalate (PET) polymers

The paper was published in scientific journal covering the field of plasma, vacuum and materials. In this paper we demonstrated that when using oxygen plasma, we create nano-strings of polymers or channels as well as get superhydrophilicity. However this phenomenon does not occur on surface with only dot-like polymer structure, when surface is treated with nitrogen plasma. This shows to the fact that superhydrophilicity is driven by micro-capillary phenomenon of functionalized elongated-channel structures.

Treatment and stability of sodium hyaluronate films in low temperature inductively coupled ammonia plasma

In the scientific journal A’ we published results of polymer etching in a low-temperature reactive plasma of ammonia gas. As a model for studies we used sodium hyaluronate films. These films were used for testing applicability of ammonia plasma for polymer etching.
