Method for modelling consequences in structural behavior at severe loading

Simple test and methodology were designed to identify optimum values of the material parameters for material models, which consider the strain rate influence on behavior of the material. Based on the test and finite-element simulations the missing material parameters were determined. We used different values of material parameters in simulations. The simulation results were compared with experimental data and cost function was determined. During optimisaton process the cost function value was minimized and the optimum values of material parameters were found. With these values the simulation results are in good agreement with the experimental data.

Estimation of material parameters with optimization methods

An analysis and comparison of three optimization methods was performed to estimate the parameters of the nonlinear parameters. For material model that is used in Ls-Dyna simulations an optimal values of the parameters are needed. The best optimization method will be applied in further work.
